Restored five-niche sarcophagus from the 4th century. From left to right: A foot-washing scene, though not from the New Testament (John 13), as it is not Peter whose feet are to be washed (washing of feet is also mentioned in Genesis 18:4, 19:2, 24:32, 43:24 and Samuel 25). Martyrdom of Peter Christ gives the new law to Peter while Paul observes (center). Jesus is arrested and appears before Pilate. Pilate washes his hands after convicting Jesus (right).
